I first become the owner of my beautiful Maine Coon girl Sansa in 2017. I then decided in 2018 to open a cat boarding business in our home. We called the cat boarding business Valley View Boutique Cattery and I have enjoyed looking after 100’s of cats over the years. I fell in love with sansa and the beautiful nature of the Maine Coon cat and decided in 2019 to become the owner of our second maine coon cat a lovely Ginger boy called Sailor. In 2020 I decided to become a breeder of these beautiful cats and with the help and mentorship of our Sansa and Sailors breeder I started my journey.
I decided I wanted to start from scratch, so I began with 1 male kitten and 2 female kittens, I raised these kittens together slowly added another male and female during the next year until we now have 7 females and 3 males. It has been very important to me to have a wide variety of pedigree maine coons so I can build my breeding growing with my own lines without risk of cross breeding, enabling me to establish Happy, Healthy Strong kittens.
Purchasing most of my kittens from my mentor, I have been able to make sure my cats have every health test available for Maine Coons, I also get them DNA tested. Also I am able to purchase Maine Coons with different pedigree back grounds and you can tell by the look of my cats that some have a US rounder face and some have the more european sleek look. I also have been fortunate to have grand champions throughout all of my cats linage.
Our kittens are raised in our home and then also able to enjoy our cattery, I pride myself on raising happy, healthy, social kittens. Kittens that have been able to go straight into homes with other cats, dogs or big busy families. We have also had two of our kittens becoming therapy cats in nursing homes.
I also love to match a kittens personality to a prospective family. I like to be able to make sure the correct personality of a kitten goes into a family that will suit its personality. We have had such great success with our breeding program and kittens going into homes and the kitten and the families being extremely happy.
We moved into 2024 with our new purpose built cattery. We only breed our females once a year, sometimes once every two year this depends on their weight and recovery, as they are part of our family their health and happiness is the most important thing to me.
Moving forward now we are happy to slowly beed these lovely Maine Coon Females and hopefully your family with have one to enjoy soon. Natalie
